Deceased had served through the Great War, had been connected with the Regiment since 1927, and was highly esteemed by his brother officers.” “There was a very large attendance at the ceremony including a detachment of Russian Volunteers from the French Concession, also a detachment from the newly formed Shanghai Scouts.” A monument was erected on the grave in 1938. Survived by wife Zina Mihailovna Marhinin, b. 1890 in Altai province, who traveled from Russian in 1926 to join her husband. Also had sons George, b. 1909 in Djarkent, and Mihail, b. 1911 in Semipalatinsk. (SMP-46)
