In April 1931, Milkovsky was sentenced to 3 years and 6 months of imprisonment for injuring and causing the death of Liu Ging-shang. “Both Milkovsky and his victim were assistants in Lor Lamach Chocolate Factory, 100 Taihsi Road, and a quarrel over a napkin stirred the anger of the Russian, who gave his victim a blow on the ear, which instantly caused the latter to fall down senseless.” The court also imposed a fine of $5,467 in favor of the victim’s family.
