  • Notes // Примечания: “Shanghai’s weather has seen little change, with the maximum temperature rising to 37 degrees yesterday. A Russian policeman named Morosoff, attached to Joffre Division of the French Municipal Police died at 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon, two hours after he became ill while walking his beat. The policeman suddenly became faint and when he returned to his station, he had high fever. He was taken to St. Marie’s Hospital where he died. It is believed that heart trouble combined with the effects of the extreme heat caused his death. Morosoff had only been attached to the French Police since May 21.”
