Arrived in China from Vladivostok, joined the Chinese army in Shantung, later captured and employed by the Nationalists. Worked in Shanghai as a journalist. Worked for Chinese secret service during the Japanese occupation. Was tracked down and killed himself before the arrest. Survived by wife and twin daughters. The Orthodox memorial was specially permitted and took place on 28 October 1941.
