Later worked as an accountant and in spite of his advanced age enrolled to a Theological College and graduated from it a few years before his death. In Shanghai, wrote for Shanghai Zaria. In his later years, worked as a bookkeeper. Survived by wife Anna Fedorovna, b. 1878 in Irkutsk, and two married daughters residing in Shanghai. ERC 100270.
