  • Notes // Примечания: Satirical writer, journalist, poet; started his career in Siberian cities, then moved to China. Editor of Rubezh (Harbin) in 1928–1929; published his prose and poetry in other Manchurian newspapers. He was a good-natured bohemian, much loved by colleagues and numerous friends. Soon after he arrived in Shanghai in 1932, his constant malnourishment provoked acute tuberculosis. Friends solicited his placement in a hospital, where he quickly died. Shiloff had no relatives.
