- Notes // Примечания: From Samara. Having graduated from the Law Department of Saint Petersburg University in 1898, he worked as an attorney in Samara unitl 1914. After fighting in the World War, in 1919 he emigrated to Harbin, where he worked as an attorney in Chinese courts, gave lectures and became one of the founders of a pedagogical academy. In 1936, Slobodchikoff moved to Shanghai and continued his legal and educational practice. He published his articles in Shanghai and Harbin newspapers. Wife Anna Alexandrovna Sopliakova, b. 1880 in Alexandrovka, d. 17 March 1934 in Harbin. Eldest sons Lev in, b. 1910, and Nikolay, b. in 1911. Son Vladimir Alexandrovich, b. 1913 in Samara, trained as a lawyer in Harbin, then worked in Shanghai’s French Police and wrote an autobiography, O sudbe izgnannikov pechalnoy (2005). Son Alexander, b. 1924 in Harbin. Lived at 362 Route Cardinal Mercier. ERC 111945. MRCSF has a file on him.
