He died from injuries received when he jumped from his room in the Banzai Hotel in Hongkew. He had arrived in Shanghai on April 8 with some goods from Kobe with the intention of selling the merchandise to an associate in Frenchtown. Mrs Starikov was reported to be on her way here from Japan.”
