Survived by wife, Anna Vasilievna Timireva and son V. Timireff, 18, both residents of Moscow. “Mr. Timireff was a well-known and familiar figure on the streets of the French Concession, where he had many friends and acquaintances who knew him in the heyday of his fame as a loyal and outstanding naval officer. It was a time-honored custom of the deceased to walk down Avenue Joffre, health permitting, every afternoon when he was at libety from the vessel on which he was serving. His walk invariably was interrupted by friendly calls of “Hello, Admiral!” from manu men and women of his nationality; the greetings were always responded to with a smile.” Five years after his death, a monument was constructed on his grave.
