- Notes // Примечания: Born in Petrograd. She was a heroic nurse, who served as a nurse at the front lines during the entire First World War. During the Russian Civil War she was military nurse in various White armies and eventually headed a whole hospital. Then she attempted to cross Russia to the east to find her sons, one of which was General Artemy Tirbah, commander of the Zabaikal White Army. In Chita, she was captured by the Reds and imprisoned for 2.5 months. Released from the prison, but forbidden to leave the city, she was smuggled by the Red Cross to Manchuria. In China, the whole family reunited and Tirbah settled in Canton, with her sons and daughter. From 1940 onward she lived at Custom House, Flat B. ERC 121721. Had been married to Stanislav Ioannovich Tirbah (1852–1905), government administrator. Survived by daughter Ekaterina, b. 1888, sons Petr, b. 1889, and Artemy, b. 1892. “Mr and Mrs P. I.
