  • Notes // Примечания: “Toropova was taken to General Hospital after taking lysol and she died there at 5.40 in the morning. Prior to her death she had refused to give any reason for her act. She had resided at 108 Weihaiwei Road. She drank the poison at about 6 o’clock Thursday evening. Shortly afterwards she informed the other lodger in the house of her action. Police were called and the young woman was rushed to the hospital. Friends said Miss Toropova had been despondent in recent weeks and had been drinking heavily. There was no apparent reason for suicide.”
