He owned huge tracts of forest and many estates in Viatka and Perm provinces. His house, almost a castle, in his Buinoe estate, was built by the Italian architect of late 18th century fame, Rastrelli. In addition, the deceased owned a number of industrial concerns and, being a keen sportsman and lover of horses, had large stables in Tursk. In emigration, Mr Bushkoff often contributed articles on forestry to specialized American magazines.”
