- Notes // Примечания: The Second Captain of the clipper Razboinik, Ziloff was left in General Hospital in Shanghai in an incurable state. “The funeral took place from the General Hospital on Tuesday afternoon. The body had been lying in state in a room on the ground floor, and sailors were told off to read Greek scriptures till a short time before the coffin lid was screwed down. Round the coffin were lighted candles, many wreaths and decorations, hat and sword of the deceased. A religious service was conducted by a priest of the Greek Church from Hankow, and as the coffin was carried out of the hospital, the service continued. The procession was headed by sailors bearing a handsome wreath between two Russian flags crossed and surmounted by crape, then came more wreaths presented by the French Consul General, the men-of-war and others. Next came the coffin, followed by the priest, Mr. Dubail, Consul-General for France and acting Russian consul, Admiral Fremantle and many naval officers, members of the Consular body and Municipal Councils...”
