The French police went to a small passage off Rue Bourgeat where they found the dead body of a foreigner hanging by the neck from a tree. He was found to be F. Drozdowski, 45, of House 48 Passage 55 Route Lorton, and a letter to his wife was found on him. Formerly a pastry cook, he had little to do for the last five or six months. The body was found in a small gap between the wall of a row of garages and a bamboo fence, and has apparently been hanging for several hours.”
