She acted as a Red Cross sister during the Russo-Japanese War, for which she was twice decorated by the Russian Emperor. She worked as assistant to Dr. Budberg in Harbin, later becoming connected with the First Aid Ambulance Corp. She was held in high esteem by all who knew her for her sterling qualities and very lovely disposition. Mrs Antonova came to Shanghai to be with her daughter, Dr. N. Antonoff, and have a well-earned rest. Her friends in Harbin and Shanghai and particularly the medical fraternity will miss her.”
