- Notes // Примечания: Buried in the mass grave at Bubbling Well Cemetery, marked with a monument dedicated to the military victims of Russo-Japanese War. “On Saturday afternoon, the funeral of the late Captain Gorodischensky took place at the Bubbling Well Cemetery, the Russians in Shanghai laying their late comrade to rest with naval honours. Shortly after 2 o’clock and number of bluejackets together with the Admiral’s band were landed from the interned vessels, and were drawn up on the Bund opposite Nanking Road. Some little time elapsed before the coffin was brought ashore. Ten bluejackets acted as bearers, the casket being placed in a hearse on the Bund. A procession was then formed to the cemetery. The ten bearers led the way, followed by the hearse. Rear-Admiral Reitzenstein and Major-General C. N. Dessino walked next, then the band, with the remainder of the bluejackets marching in the rear. Many carriages followed, and a number of refugees in ricshas. All along the route the band played various funeral marches, the scene being an impressive one. At the graveside a Russian priest officiated.”
