Young divorcee dies instantly; man commits suicide.” “Funeral arrangements were made for Innocenty Granovsky, 65, and Mrs Anna Litvinoff (Damer), 37, divorcee, who had been going by her maiden name Anna Litvinoff. Granovsky crazed by jealousy shot and killed Mrs Damer at her home, 624 Rue Pere Froc, and later ended his own life at his place, 256 Avenue Dubail. Mrs Anna Litvinoff was shot twice, once in the head and once just above the heart. She died instantly. Since Granovsky left his wife in Tsingtao three years ago he had been on friendly terms with Mrs Damer who had helped him in running his boarding houses. It is believed the friendship between them had been strained due to the appearance of another man. Granovsky is survived by wife and three children, of which one, his only daughter, is also living in Shanghai.”
