- Notes // Примечания: “Mr Ivanichenko was found suffering from the effects of opium poisoning in his room, at Passage 468, Avenue Joffre, at midnight on Tuesday and died at about 7 o’clock yesterday morning at the Maresca Hospital without regaining consciousness. Neighbors were awakened by loud moans emanating from his room. They broke into the room and found him in agony. He left a note on the table saying that he was prepared to die and that no one should be blamed for his death.” He was educated in Chita and then Harbin. When his father, a railway employee, lost his job with the CER in 1932, Ivanichenko was forced to abandon his studies and move to Shanghai. He was survived by wife L. F. Nino-Ivanichenko, parents, brother and sisters.
