- Notes // Примечания: A student of Thomas Hanbury and Public School for Girls, she was found dead in the apartment saturated with gas fumes, on Route Cardinal Mercier. Her mother Paraskeva Jernakoff found her in the kitchen near the gas stove. The girl was taken to the Jewish Hospital in a grave condition. Father, Dr. Constantin Jernakoff, was a well-known Russian physician. Police believed the mother was awakened by the smell of the gas but collapsed before she could reach the kitchen. Mother Paraskeva Evtihievna Jernakoff, b. 1909 in Vladivostok, former wife of Dr. C. Jernakoff. Father Constantin Alexeevich Jernakoff, doctor, b. 1899 in Vyatka. “Mrs P. E. Jernakoff informs all friends of her beloved daugter Valentine Kirchhoff, who passed away on May 23, 1946, that a Reqiuem Mass will be said today, November 23, 1946, at her grave, Lukawei Cemetery. In case of bad weather the Mass will take place at the same time at St. Nicholas Church, Rue Corneille.”
