At about 8 pm on Tuesday Dr Tarle and Dr Haritonoff called to see how he was getting along. Suddenly, pushing the two doctors aside, the sick man rushed out of the apartment and ran up the stairs. A minute of so later, shots were heard from the yard. Katil was lying dead, his spine broken and his skull fractured. Death came instantly.”
