  • Notes // Примечания: “Bodyguard Kazansky was sitting beside an Annamite policeman outside the door of his home at 400 Rue Ratard yesterday apparently cleaning his pistol when the Annamite saw him put the pistol to his temple and pull the trigger before there was any chance to stop him. The shot went right through the head and death was instantaneous. Kazansky, who was of nervous disposition, was 27 years of age and an ex-officer in the Caucasian Infantry of the Imperial Russian Army. The reason for his suicide is unknown, but it is thought to be a romantic affair.”
