New at the game, Nicolas found the job of collecting alms a difficult one. He didn’t like it. Eventually, it gave him a licking and early yesterday morning with the aid of a good, stout rope he brought an end to his unhappy existence on this planet. Nicolas was found hanging to a rafter in his attic room at House 44, Lane 439 Route Vallon, by a fellow mendicant who had gone to call on him. Nicolas left a note stating that he was tired of begging for a living and had made up his mind to end it all.”
