Deceased, who is employed by a Japanese firm on Tsitsihar Road, reported off duty earlier in the evening and took his carabine with him to his quarters. He placed the weapon in his mouth and pulled trigger, one shot having been fired. On the table were found two letters, addressed to his parents in Russia, and another to a friend, as well as a chit, which stated that a doctor had told him he had tuberculosis and had only a short time to lie. Deceased accepted sole responsibility for his death.”
