  • Notes // Примечания: “Impressive funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for the Mr M. S. Lembich, proprietor of the Shanghai Zaria and other Russian papers, and one of the most popular members of the local Russian community. The cortege left the perlours of the International Funeral Directors on Kiaochow Road and wended its way through Bubbling Well Road, Yates Road, Route des Soeurs and Avenue Joffre, where it paused for a few moments for a Russian service was performed by the priests of the Orthodox Church. Special permission was obtained from FMC and the traffic of Avenue Joffre was held up for a few minutes by the large crowd which gathered outside the office of the Shanghai Zaria.” Survived by wife Olga Victorovna, b. 1901 in Verkhneudinsk, and daughter Irene, born in Harbin.
