  • Notes // Примечания: “Firing two shots through the door of a house at Passage 232 Avenue du Roi Albert at midnight on Tuesday, L. Lesoloff then killed himself with a rifle shot. He was 37 years of age and a member of the Russian Unit formed in the French Concession some time ago and now attached to the French Police. The shooting was carried out with a service rifle. Calling on the house of his friends shortly before midnight, he knocked and called out ‘Easter greetings to you!’. To this the occupants of the house, a husband and wife, replied that the hour was late and he had better return in the morning. Upon hearing this Lesoloff became angry and hammered at the door with the butt of his rifle. His two shots through the door thankfully did not hit anyone.”
