  • Notes // Примечания: Peter Mugantseff had graduated from the military college in Odessa, participated in the Great War and the Russian civil war, and earned several military decorations, including the Cross of St. George. In 1928, the family moved to Shanghai from Tsinanfu. Mugantseff found employment as a watchman at Bird Amos Co., 1 Tengyueh Road, until his death off tuberculosis in 1934. Called “a popular member of the Russian community” he was survived by wife E. M. Mugantseff, born c. 1898, and three children, one of whom, Kira, was born in Mukden in 1926, and other two – c. 1932 and 1933. The family’s material circumstanced worsened significantly after the death of Mugantseff, as remarked by SMP Files-62.
