- Notes // Примечания: French Police arrested Vladimir Gromoff in connection with the death of Nicolas Petroff, who passed away at the General Hospital on November 10 as a result of knife wound received in Manchuria Café on Avenue Joffre. At the time of the stabbing, on November 7, Petroff complained to the police that two unknown men invited him to the café and when he refused to pay the bill, stabbed him. Police found out that his real name was Lavroff, that he had formerly been with the Russian Army in Manchuria, then joined the Japanese forces in Kalgan and stole a sum of government money there. He had come to Shanghai several days prior. Police also learned than one of his assailants, Gromoff, was looking for him having sworn to kill him, attributing a death of one of his friends to Petroff. Court sentences Gromoff to 12 years of forced labor.
